Day 11: Cobh, Ireland

We woke up to a beautiful sunrise as we were pulling into Cobh.

We have doughnuts and chocolate filled croissants from the International Café and eat an extra one for Drew! We miss her.

I had read the train station to Cork was across the street from where the ship docks, but it was actually on the dock!

We took the train to Cork and had a walk around town visiting the English Market where we bumped into some cruise critic friends, Al & Melissa.

After walking around for a while longer we take the train back to Cobh and sit in the waterfront park for a while. Tim calls his mom since she wasn’t home when he tried from the Eiffel Tower last week. This port is one we visited on our land trip last May and we walk down the street to have another look at the Titanic tender dock—the last stop before their fateful night. We then work our way back to the ship and have a nap before dinner. It was a very slow, peaceful day.
